OK, so it might not be the sunniest summer’s day here in Central London, but due to a recent employment survey, job seekers definitely have something to smile about! The REC (Recruitment and Employment Confederation) have undertaken a study which shows that 64% of Private sector employers are looking to increase their headcount over the next three months and 65% are looking to do so over the next year. Only 6% said they were reducing numbers over the next 12 months. On the temporary side, 78% of employers said they would be increasing the number of agency staff they take on in the short term and whopping 77% said this would be the case over the next year! “Employer confidence is at a 12 month high” said Roger Tweedy, the REC’s Director of research.

HR Coordinator/ Jnr Advisor for Top Entertainment Co! £35k
An enviable opportunity has arisen for an experienced HR Advisor to join this International Entertainment company based in gorgeous Central London. Supporting two HR Managers, this truly is a diverse role where you will have the opportunity to get involved in all aspects of the HR function!
You will, draft all correspondence, maintain employee files, manage payroll, assist with the recruitment process, liaise with employment agencies, screen candidates’ CVs, and arrange and conduct interviews. You will have the opportunity to manage the internship and work experience programmes, manage starter and leaver procedures and administer and monitor background. You will advise employee’s on Company benefits and manage the full process of setting up employees in benefit plans, collate and record absence/sickness, escalating areas of concern to HR Managers.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated at least 4 years experience of working in a HR department with a generalist remit within a City or Banking environment. They will be familiar with HR related documentation, have experience of managing/processing UK payroll, the recruitment process and be familiar with the benefits procedures. They will have the ability to interpret data, be an excellent multi-tasker who can prioritise and manage their own workload. They will be a natural born networker who can build relationships with both internal and external customers. They must be a practical thinker who focuses on solutions and meets deadlines. Essentially, they will be a committed and flexible team player!
Technically, you must have excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) as well experience of working with HRISs and SAP (or equivalent). Ideally you will be part or fully CIPD qualified.

As registrar, you will assist the senior teaching staff in all aspects of organizing courses, student finance, advice and support. You will be look after the students from interview stage right through to graduation. For this reason, you will love being a real lynch pin and that ‘go-to person!’
Daily, you will interview prospective students, process all enrolments and payments from students, assist in student enquiries, monitor finance patterns and generally be the first point of contact for students and staff alike!
The perfect candidate will have a high level of numeracy, be comfortable with financial concepts have had experience of financial record keeping. They will be detail conscious and accurate at all times, have a logical attitude and most importantly be highly organized! They will have strong customer service skills and be comfortable giving advice on telephone and face-to-face. You will act as the first point of contact for all enquiries into the school and its courses to all prospective students. You will be confident on the phone and in person and have strong administrative skills. You will manage a large database, send all interview letters and documentation, manage all office supplies and distribute and manage the school brochures.
This can be a really varied role as there will be regular exhibitions and open evenings at the school which you will organize and attend!
Ideally you will have at least 2 years admin experience and some sales experience would be beneficial. You must have good MS Office skills, be highly organized and truly love being that ‘go-to person!’ Experience of taking meeting minutes would be highly favorable.
You'll work as part of a close knit and talented teaching team so you will be a true team player, approachable and have an interest in interior design. Please note this is a part-time position of three days a week to include Monday and the other two days are negotiable. This is a 1 year Maternity Contract. The hours will be 9am to 5:30pm. The salary will be £21,000 pro rata.
